Marjana von Berlepsch
Exotic leather, gemstones, antique coins, wood, horn or rose gold: Marjana von Berlepsch’s ‘Noble Accessories’ stand out thanks to their masterly mix of materials and multifaceted style.
In her ‘first’ career, Marjana von Berlepsch had already come into contact with the world’s most beautiful and refined items of jewellery. Until eight years ago, she worked as a freelance fashion editor for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and is therefore a real authority when it comes to style. She nevertheless emphasises that it is not her wish to ‘decorate women’. Her jewellery should rather be incorporated into the very personal style of its wearer. Marjana von Berlepsch’s trademark: eye- catching bracelets and chains that match the looks in the latest catwalk collections.
In 2003, the Munich-born designer chose to focus on producing only her own ideas and, with the founding of her jewellery label, fulfilled a dream. Her collections have since proved to be a true stroke of luck, and her tale is a real-life success story.
In her studio in a villa in Harvestehude, Hamburg, she today develops two collections per year, produced exclusively by gold- and silversmiths in Germany. Her team of more than ten individuals also create engravings and other custom items.
Moreover, Marjana von Berlepsch works on special projects, including a recent charity bracelet launched in collaboration with the German fashion label René Lezard and she designed the F / W 2012 and S / S 2013 jewelry collection for BOSS Black.
Marjana von Berlepsch was fashion editor for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. She strives for the ultimate in style, the best materials and optimal production. ‘I learnt this way of thinking in the fashion editorial offices of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar,’ she explains of her work in the 1990s, when she would travel around the world for fashion shoots and trend research. Today, as a jewellery designer, she still travels regularly so as to be able to personally select the most spectacular materials from all over the world.
Contemporary art is another of Marjana von Berlepsch’s passions and serves as inspiration for the wonderful colour compositions and unusual patterns found in her designs.
Only the very best stores in Germany stock Marjana von Berlepsch’s ‘Noble Accessories’, but her treasures/jewellery can also be found at top international locations from London to Hong Kong.
